Reedy Creek Fire Department Welcomes Kid Scouts

What an exciting time at the Reedy Creek Fire Department for the Kid Scouts troop. Fire Safety Officer gave the scouts lessons on first aide and rescue procedures. It’s never too early to teach someone life saving procedures and these youngsters had the opportunity to learn it from the program at Reedy Creek. A private tour allowed each troop member the chance to get up close and personal with the truck and equipment at the station. A good demonstration allows the scouts to become more familiar with how these engines work in their communities, gather fire safety trips and gain some insight on what its like to be a fire fighter for future careers.

As you can see every child has the chance to put a smile on their face and this was no exception. We can almost get a glimpse at what these two may venture into someday.

Kid Scouts and Reedy Creek Fire Department made this a day to remember for many scouts, but more importantly they went home with knowledge that can prepare them for emergencies regardless of their age.
